Finally, Samsung launched its much-awaited multi-folding phone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, with several form factors like desktop-level multitasking, richer entertainment, and serious creation tools.
Samsung has powered the device with the Snapdragon 8 Elite (custom Samsung variant) chipset, integrated with 16GB RAM and 512GB & 1TB internal storage. It runs Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box. It weighs 309 grams and measures 159.2 × 214.1 × 3.9-4.2 mm while unfolded and 159.2 x 75.0 x 12.9 mm while folded.
The newly launched Galaxy Z TriFold features a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and QXGA+ (2160 x 1584 pixels). While the cover display measures a 6.5-inch FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and 2520 x 1080 pixels resolution.
The camera setup includes a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto with 3x zoom. On the front side, it features a 10MP inner and a 10MP cover camera. The battery package includes a 5,600mAh three-cell battery with 45W fast charging support. To protect the device from water and dust, Samsung offers it an IP48 rating.
It has several connectivity options, such as 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 (no UWB), and is compatible with various AI features, including Photo Assist, Generative Edit, Live Translate, and the full Galaxy AI suite.
The device will go on sale initially in South Korea on December 12 at $2,500. It’s expected that the US price of the device may be higher when it launches in early 2026.
