Samsung’s Good Lock suite is indeed the one-stop destination to perform all the customizations that personalizes the Galaxy phones, where the modules play a crucial role.
While the company continues to bring more new upgrades within the app, a fresh report shares some good news for the fans who are eagerly waiting for key changes in the NotiStar.
The Good Lock’s NotiStar app is responsible for all types of notifications received through various apps. But things got even worse for the users when Samsung dropped a useful feature, causing frustrations among the audience, and now, things seem to be changing, though, according to the report from SamMobile.
Basically, to recall, previously, several users reported an issue, where in One UI 8.0, Samsung apparently removed an essential option called ‘Set app unable to clear notifications’, which was an efficient part of the Labs section of the NotiStar app and forces system to not clear any notifications from various selected apps, even when the clear button of the quick panel is tapped.
At the same time, the company also assured to bring the feature back in the upcoming OS. Now, the users disappointed with the act once again took the topic on the Samsung community forums, and thankfully, the official Good Lock manager has his say! The moderator ensured that the ‘Set app unable to clear notifications’ option will be back again in the upcoming One UI 8.5 version.
Well, according to the previous report, it is; however, believed that Samsung is potentially planning to open up the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, somewhere around December 8th or so. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen which timeline Samsung choose to bring the official One UI 8.5 software, which is supposed to debut alongside the next-gen flagships, the Galaxy S26 series.
