Samsung is working on bringing a new compact wireless charger with Qi2 support, and it has now appeared on the QI certification, confirming its existence.
A few days ago, it was reported that the Korean tech firm is silently preparing to launch a compact wireless charger that supports Qi2 with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. Initially, this charger appeared in the Korean certifications database.
The same charger has now appeared on the QI certification with the dedicated model number EB-U2500, and its version is 2.1.0. In the description, the device is described as “Magnet Wireless Battery Pack.”
Multiple sources have already reported that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series could support the Qi2 charging standard, which allows phones to align themselves to the optimal charging position thanks to a built-in magnetic ring. However, to date, there’s no official confirmation that the Galaxy S26 series will support Qi2.
Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung is considering introducing a new Qi2 wireless charger that supports 25W fast wireless charging, which means it could use the Qi2.2 standard. According to previous reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support full 25W, and the standard and plus models could be limited to around 20W. The company has yet to issue an official statement regarding Qi2 charging support for the Galaxy S26 series; it will be interesting to see what happens next.
