Samsung to bring two new convenient features with One UI 8.5

Samsung’s next major software iteration, One UI 8.5, is expected to bring several notable upgrades and new features, including Direct voicemail and Private album.

Samsung has already completed the Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout to all eligible Galaxy smartphones. Now, it is shifting its focus towards its next iteration, One UI 8.5, which was recently spotted running on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Meanwhile, a tipster, ThatJoshGuy, on X, shared a post, revealing two major features coming with the upcoming One UI 8.5, as mentioned below -

The direct voicemail seems inspired by Apple’s iOS, whereas the private album is hidden inside the current One UI 8. The tispter shared two screenshots describing these features, according to which the Direct voicemail allows you to record a message when you can’t answer and see what they say in real-time on the screen, and you enable this feature manually while receiving a call or set calls to automatically go to voicemail after a certain amount of time.

Samsung has already introduced the Private Album feature on One UI 8, but currently, it asks you to manually enable it from Gallery Labs. Now, with the One UI 8.5, it will not require manual activation and will be it to the Gallery app.
