Samsung has just started delivering the latest December 2025 security update for its Galaxy devices after releasing the details a few days ago. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series, alongside Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, is getting the update.
This time, Samsung initiated the provision of the latest security update for its flagships, whereas last month, it was the opposite, as the company started rolling out the monthly patch from its budget and mid-tier models, specifically the Galaxy A series.
Now, it was spotted via Samsung’s official community, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is identified with the version numbers, S931NKSS7BYKG, S936NKSS7BYKG, and S938NKSS7BYKG, respectively, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 as well as Flip 7 are recognized with the F966NKSS6AYKE as well as F766NKSS6AYKE, have started receiving the latest December 2025 security update.
It’s important to note that the update is currently limited to Samsung’s home country, South Korea, and is expected to expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.
Specifically, the latest December firmware for the devices; however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes, but it significantly packs a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities so as to focus on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats.
Other than that, the update further brings certain performance optimizations and adds stability to the entire system behavior that eventually leads to a smoother, efficient, and optimized experience for the users.
This is just the beginning, as Samsung has to cover a large number of Galaxy phones and tablets to deliver the latest monthly security update.
