Samsung seems all set to start the One UI 8.5 beta program by the end of this month for the Galaxy S25 devices; meanwhile, a new leak shows the fresh look of app icons coming with this update.
Recently, Samsung just finished the Android 16-based One UI 8 rollout to all eligible Galaxy smartphones. Now, it is shifting its focus to its next iteration, One UI 8.5, which is confirmed to be introduced stably initially on the upcoming Galaxy S26 devices.
The latest One UI 8.5 is expected to bring several notable tweaks, customization, features, and more, including revamped app icons. Meanwhile, a tipster, @GalaxyTechie, shared a post on X, claiming that the upcoming update will bring new icons of almost 100 apps for Galaxy devices, and also shared the image showcasing the new design.
A few notable newly designed app icons are Samsung Phone, Calculator, Health, Camera, Messages, Game Booster, Bixby, and Modes and Routines.
The newly leaked icons’ design suggests that Samsung has designed these icons with close attention to the little details that make the interface feel more polished. Apart from this, he also mentioned that more icons will appear with future builds of One UI 8.5. It will be interesting to see whether the leaked icons will come into existence with the stable build.
