Samsung is now gearing up to launch the Galaxy S26 series, and is reported to be adjusting its production strategy for the lineup right before the final stage of development.
The Korean tech giant has been working on its next-generation flagship models, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, to launch sometime between late January and February 2026.
Meanwhile, a new report from Korean media revealed that Samsung is considering revising its production plan for the Galaxy S26 series due to internal changes. According to the report, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has officially entered mass production this month, while the base models, Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus, are still pending to enter production.
Reportedly, Samsung is delaying the Galaxy S26 and S26+ production until early 2026 due to a few unfinished processes. The company is not willing to take any chances with the ultra model, as it remains a high-end device in the Galaxy S series, accounting for a large percentage of its global flagship sales.
One of the key reasons behind Samsung prioritizing Galaxy S26 Ultra’s early production is to ensure a stable supply right from launch, especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition in the flagship device market. It remains to be seen whether the delay in production could affect the expected launch timeline of the series.
