Samsung maintains a lead over the smartphone manufacturers when it comes to delivering the latest software updates to its entire Galaxy ecosystem. Meanwhile, as of now, Samsung is currently focusing on the latest December 2025 security update rollout. You might be eager to know whether your Galaxy has made it to the list or will in the future!

​As usual, Samsung releases its security maintenance release every month for all the eligible Galaxy devices, excluding the models whose software support has already ended.

​Specifically, security updates are necessary and meant to boost the entire system’s security via several fixes and other relevant improvements. Samsung’s monthly patches are minor updates, and so is the latest December 2025 security update.
