Samsung to offer better 2nm tech than Exynos 2600 to AMD

Samsung’s upcoming in-house 2 nm-based Exynos 2600 SoC is already the talk of the town; meanwhile, a new report revealed the company is in talks with AMD, which is expected to be the next major 2 nm foundry client victory.

Recently, Samsung released an Exynos 2600 teaser video on YouTube, in which the chipset is described as “refined at the core” and “optimized at every level,” which suggests upgrades in the architecture and power consumption.

The Korean tech giant is considering using the Exynos 2600 chipset initially to power the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus in most markets. It’s expected that the company could announce full details this month or next, before the Galaxy S26 launches next year in late January or early February.

Now, a new report revealed that Samsung is looking forward to collaboration with AMD for contract manufacturing using its cutting-edge 2nm process. It seems that the upcoming Exynos 2600 will turn out to be a major success for Samsung Foundry in attracting major tech firms after a long time. Reportedly, the company is considering introducing the second-generation 2nm process (SF2P) for AMD chips, which is more mature than the Exynos 2600.

A few days ago, it was reported that Samsung has already signed massive deals with major tech companies, such as Apple and Tesla. Now it is looking forward to dealing with AMD to produce a 2 nm CPU chip on its 2 nm SF2P process; it remains to be seen how significant this partnership will come out for Samsung.
