December 2025 Security Update is now available for the Galaxy S23 series

Samsung is looking forward to expanding the ongoing December 2025 security update for even more Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 series has just started receiving the update, following the Galaxy S24 family.

Well, the Galaxy S23 series has started getting a new software update that significantly integrates the December 2025 security update, and is currently available in the company’s home country, South Korea, while it’s expected to reach even more Galaxy devices over the coming weeks.

At the same time, the latest December firmware for the Galaxy S22 Ultra has been identified with the S911NKSS6EYL1, S916NKSS6EYL1, and S918NKSS6EYL1 version numbers, respectively.

However, the latest December 2025 security update is just a minor security patch, which is apparently a significant part of Samsung’s monthly security patches and doesn’t bring any major features or upgrades. But it significantly packs a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities and focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats.

In addition to that, the latest update further adds stability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually provide a smoother, stable, and optimized experience for the users.
