Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus’ battery appeared on the BIS certification

Samsung is close to launching the Galaxy S26 series at the Unpacked event next year; meanwhile, the battery units for the Galaxy S26 Plus variant of the lineup have been spotted on the BIS certification.

The Korean tech giant has been working on the Galaxy S26 series for so long to launch in 2026. The lineup will include three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung recently officially launched its in-house Exynos 2600 chipset, which will be used to power the base models (Galaxy S26 & S26+) initially. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally.

Meanwhile, the battery units of the Galaxy S26 Plus have now spotted on the BIS authority with the dedicated model number EB-BS946. The listing revealed that it is a lithium-ion battery manufactured by an Indian-based company.

Apart from this, the listing hasn’t revealed any specific details regarding the battery capacity. However, it’s almost confirmed that the Galaxy S26 Plus will have at least 4,900mAh battery inside.

It’s expected that Samsung is considering delaying the Galaxy S26 launch, as a recent report revealed that the company will hold the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026 in February, at which the upcoming series will unveiled, which means that it could be a one-month delay in launch.
