Samsung starts testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung has expanded its internal One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, following a few Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S24 and more.

​Recently, Samsung released the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series in the US, UK, Korea, and Germany. Now, the company is looking forward to expanding the beta program by releasing the beta 2 update. It’s already been reported that Samsung could release the One UI 8.5 beta 2 on December 22.

​Meanwhile, under the hood, the Korean tech giant has already started testing the One UI 8.5 for its older Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and more. This hints that the company is actively working on this firmware version for other devices.

​Meanwhile, now a reliable tipster, @Koram_Akhilesh, shared a post on X, revealing that Samsung has started internal One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, as the device have spotted for the first time on the server, with the dedicated firmware version S908BXXUKHYLF.

​All of these internal tests suggest that Samsung is actively working on the One UI 8.5 version to introduce the stable version as soon as possible. It’s already been confirmed that the company will introduce the stable One UI 8.5 initially on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
