Samsung’s One UI 8.5 Beta 4 Focuses on the Fixes That Actually Matter

Samsung is pushing out the fourth beta of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 lineup, and this one’s all about cleaning up the rough edges.

The fourth beta build firmware version ZZAB, according to tipster Tarun Vats on X, is expected to arrive this week for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra.

The Phone app gets two important fixes. Search history glitches that caused occasional crashes are now resolved, which is a relief if you frequently redial contacts from your call logs. There’s also a fix for pasted phone numbers not landing correctly in the keypad after tapping a call link. That’s one of those small annoyances that disrupts workflow more than it should.

Bluetooth users will appreciate the headset fix. Calls were randomly switching from connected headsets back to the phone’s speaker, a bug that’s as awkward as it is annoying, especially during work calls or in public spaces.

AI Select also gets a quality-of-life improvement. Previously, the tool stayed open after copying content, requiring an extra tap to dismiss. Now it closes automatically, making the experience feel noticeably smoother.

Bixby receives backend updates as well, though Samsung hasn’t detailed what’s changed. Given the assistant’s ongoing evolution, improvements to responsiveness or system integration wouldn’t be surprising.

One UI 8.5 Beta 4 Changelog

Bugs that have been fixed

This beta won’t generate headlines, but it’s the kind of update that makes a phone easier to live with. For Galaxy S25 owners testing One UI 8.5, Beta 4 looks like a step toward the stability you’d expect from a flagship device.
