Samsung is leaning into magnetic wireless charging, and the latest leak shows exactly how it plans to do it.
New images shared by Arsene Lupin on X reveal a cleaner look at Samsung’s upcoming Magnet Wireless Charger, designed specifically for the Galaxy S26 lineup. The charger uses a magnetic puck that attaches to the phone when paired with a compatible magnetic case. It supports Qi2 and delivers up to 25W of wireless charging, a notable bump over most standard wireless chargers.
The design is straightforward but polished. A braided cable connects the magnetic puck to a USB Type-C adapter, and the all-black finish gives it a more premium feel than Samsung’s usual plastic chargers. The model number is EP-P2900BBEGWW, though pricing hasn’t been confirmed yet.
What’s worth noting is that Samsung is finally catching up to Apple’s MagSafe approach, but with potentially faster charging speeds. The 25W output is higher than what most Qi2 chargers currently offer, which could make this a practical upgrade for users who prioritize speed over convenience alone.
Samsung is expected to launch the charger alongside the Galaxy S26 series at its next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. If the rumors hold, the phones will be available for purchase by March 11.
Whether the charger will be bundled or sold separately remains unclear, but given Samsung’s recent trend of stripping accessories from the box, expect to pay extra.
