Samsung’s mid-range lineup is gearing up for its annual refresh, and fresh leaks have filled in most of the blanks on the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G ahead of their expected March launch.
Galaxy A57 5G: Slimmer, Smarter, Familiar
The biggest physical change is noticeable immediately. The A57 5G drops to 6.9mm thick and 182 grams, a meaningful step down from last year’s 7.4mm, 198-gram build. It also picks up IP68 water resistance, upgrading from the A56’s IP67.
Key specs leaked so far:
- 6.6-inch flat AMOLED, FHD+, 120Hz
- Exynos 1680 processor
- 6GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage (UFS 3.1)
- 50MP main (OIS) + 12MP ultrawide + 5MP macro
- 12MP front camera
- 5,000mAh battery, 45W wired charging
- Android 16 with One UI 8.5
Camera specs stay roughly the same as the A56 5G, which will disappoint anyone hoping for a more meaningful upgrade.
Galaxy A37 5G: The Chip Swap Is the Story
The A37 5G makes a quieter case for itself. Most specs carry over from last year, but two things change: the main camera moves to a larger 1/1.56-inch 50MP sensor (up from 1/1.96-inch), and Qualcomm is out in favor of the Exynos 1480. Samsung has been rotating chipmaker partners on the A3x line for years, so this was predictable.
The display holds at 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz, with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging staying put.
Pricing and Timing
Both phones are targeting March. Pricing will likely start around $549 for the A57 5G and $439 for the A37 5G, though memory cost pressures could push those figures slightly higher.
