One UI 9 Could Make Samsung Internet More Powerful With Multi-Window
Samsung has built a loyal customer base largely on the strength of its software support, offering consistent updates and exclusive features to users of its smartphones and tablets. While the company is currently focused on refining One UI 8.5, which debuted with the Galaxy S26 series and is gradually rolling out to additional devices, early details about the next major version are already beginning to surface online.
One UI 9 is still in its early stages, but initial rumors are shedding light on what users can expect, particularly for Samsung Browser.
The most significant change coming to Samsung Browser with One UI 9 appears to be support for multiple windows. This means users will be able to run several instances of the browser at the same time, removing the current limitation of viewing only one page simultaneously. Naturally, this feature will shine brightest on devices with larger displays. Samsung’s foldable lineup, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold7, stands to benefit the most, taking full advantage of the extra screen real estate. That said, the feature will not be exclusive to foldables, as standard smartphones like the Galaxy S21 FE will also be able to use it.
Beyond multi-window support, One UI 9 is expected to introduce an Ask AI feature for Samsung Browser, currently labeled as beta. A second addition, a toggle described as “Enable Cross Device Resume,” has also been spotted, though its exact function remains unclear for now.
As for availability, Samsung Browser with these new features will almost certainly not arrive before the One UI 9 beta program officially kicks off, though more details should emerge in the coming weeks.
