Galaxy S25 owners have been watching the One UI 8.5 beta stretch across multiple updates while the stable release stayed out of reach. That wait may be nearly over.
A screenshot shared on X by user @MatthewReiter05, sourced from tipster @theonecid, shows a Samsung support conversation apparently confirming a rollout timeline. According to the exchange, stable One UI 8.5 could begin rolling out in Korea on April 30, with a global and US release following around May 4.
The dates align with a separate claim from tipster Tarun Vats, who previously cited the same April 30 and May 4 windows. The overlap lends the timeline a little more credibility, though not enough to treat it as confirmed.
It is worth being clear about the source here. Samsung support agents are not typically in the loop on internal release schedules, and there is a real possibility the agent was drawing on the same circulating rumors rather than any internal documentation. Update timelines also shift when unexpected software issues surface, which is not uncommon in the final stretch before a stable release.
What is clear is that Samsung is pushing One UI 8.5 forward across its lineup. The beta program has now expanded to older hardware including the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5. Stable builds tend to follow beta expansion by a few weeks, which makes an early May target for the S25 series at least logistically reasonable.
