Jumping between apps to check who called you last is a minor annoyance, but it adds up. WhatsApp logs live in WhatsApp. Google Meet calls disappear into Meet’s history. Your stock dialer shows none of it.
One UI 9 quietly fixes this
Samsung has released the first One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series, and while the update is light on headline features, one practical change stands out. The Samsung Phone app can now pull in call logs from third-party apps like WhatsApp and Google Meet, giving you a single place to see your full call history.
This is not a Samsung invention. The capability comes from Android 17, which One UI 9 is built on. Google introduced unified call log support as a platform-level feature, and Samsung is among the first to bring it to users. Telegram is not yet supported, but that is likely a matter of the app updating to adopt the new Android 17 API rather than a permanent limitation.
The feature is on by default. If you would rather keep things separate, turning it off takes about thirty seconds. Open the Samsung Phone app, tap the three-dot menu, go to Settings, then Other call settings, and select Other calling apps.
It is a small addition in isolation. But as more apps adopt Android 17‘s call log integration, this becomes genuinely useful. One unified history, no app-switching required.
