Stellar Blade Complete Edition Reveals Free Bayonetta Costumes Ahead of Switch 2 Launch

Stellar Blade Complete Edition is bringing a surprise crossover to its Nintendo Switch 2 debut. Shift Up released a new trailer on September 20 confirming four free Bayonetta costumes for protagonist Eve, timed to the port’s arrival on November 5.

The collaboration brings Sega’s iconic witch into Shift Up’s post-apocalyptic action game, and all four costumes are included at no extra cost across every platform the Complete Edition supports, not just Switch 2.

What’s in the Bayonetta Collaboration

The new vignette trailer walks through each of the four costumes, all styled after looks from the Bayonetta franchise. Shift Up hasn’t detailed pricing or timing beyond confirming the outfits ship free alongside the Complete Edition release, meaning PS5 and PC players who already own Stellar Blade should also gain access once the update rolls out.

This isn’t the collaboration’s first appearance. Stellar Blade previously featured skins based on NieR: Automata and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, both of which are bundled into the Complete Edition as standard content. The Bayonetta partnership continues that pattern of crossover costumes drawing from other action games with a similar stylistic pedigree.

Switch 2 Launch Details

Stellar Blade Complete Edition launches on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 5, 2026, arriving on a physical cartridge that carries its own small milestone. Retail listings show the game shipping on a 32GB game card, half the capacity of the 64GB carts that have been standard for Switch 2 releases so far. It’s expected to be among the first titles using the smaller format, which Nintendo reportedly began producing late last year as a cheaper alternative for publishers who don’t need the full 64GB capacity.

Digital pre-orders are already live on the Nintendo eShop. Buyers who pre-order receive early access to three cosmetic items for Eve: the Planet Diving Suit in White Edition, a pair of Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings.

The Complete Edition packages in every piece of content released for Stellar Blade since its original 2024 launch, including the NieR: Automata and NIKKE downloadable content alongside the new Bayonetta costumes.

Hands-On Time at Tokyo Game Show

Players got an early look at the Switch 2 version during Tokyo Game Show 2026, where Sega, handling physical distribution in Japan, ran six hands-on stations for the port. Series creator Kim Hyung Tae also appeared on the Sega/Atlus stage during the show to discuss the game.

Shift Up has stayed consistent on timing throughout the year. The developer confirmed as far back as August that the Switch 2 version remained on track for the second half of 2026 without a delay, and November 5 now locks that promise into a firm date.
