Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold has officially been delayed, with its release date moving from January to February 23, 2027. Square Enix revealed the updated schedule during the Japanese FFXIV Fan Festival, alongside the expansion’s full trailer and opening cinematic. Players with early access will be able to enter the new expansion on February 19, 2027.
The delay is approximately four weeks, giving players a slightly longer wait before the next major chapter of the MMORPG. The announcement also brought several new details about the expansion, including upcoming jobs, crossover content, and gameplay changes arriving with version 8.0.
Final Fantasy XIV Evercold Release Date and Pre-Orders
Evercold was initially announced during the North American FFXIV Fan Festival in April 2026, with a January 2027 release window.
However, Square Enix has now confirmed February 23, 2027, as the new launch date. Early access begins on February 19, giving eligible players four days of early gameplay.
Pre-orders are scheduled to open on November 4, 2026. Bonus items will also be available for players who purchase the expansion in advance, although their complete details are yet to be revealed.
