The Korean giant has released the January 2023 security update for two devices, Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip 5G.

However, these devices have already received the update in several regions but now rolling it out in the Canadian market.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is receiving the update with build version F707WVLS3GWA1

The new firmware carries G981WVLS3GWA1, G986WVLS3GWA1, and G988WVLS3GWA1 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra, respectively.

The January 2023 update is a general security maintenance update that doesn’t bring any new features, but it brings some new patches that address several security vulnerabilities.

According to official documentation, the update includes 50+ patches and 20 patches which resolves some security loopholes so that your private information doesn’t leak anywhere.

1. On your Galaxy devices, head into your settings. 2. Scroll to the bottom and click on Software update. 3. Tap Download and install. 4. Wait for your device to check for updates. 5. If a security update is available, you can hit Install now.
