Samsung starts January 2023 security firmware with Samsung Galaxy Note 10

The Galaxy Note 10 is the first device in the Galaxy smartphone series to receive the January 2023 security patch.

The update includes a number of security improvements and bug fixes. Among the security, improvements are a number of enhancements to the Knox security platform, which is used to secure Samsung devices.

The Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+’s most recent software update is available as firmware version N970FXXS8HVL3 and N975FXXS8HVL3, respectively.

The upgrade is presently going out in Switzerland, and we anticipate that other European nations will soon follow suit. 

Android Security Patch

The January 2023 security patch from Samsung fixes a number of security vulnerabilities, but Samsung hasn’t yet disclosed them. We anticipate learning more about them later this week.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus devices will not receive One UI 5.0-based Android 13 operating system updates.

1. On your Galaxy devices, head into your settings. 2. Scroll to the bottom and click on Software update. 3. Tap Download and install. 4. Wait for your device to check for updates. 5. If a security update is available, you can hit Install now.
