Samsung Risks Class Action In The US

A class action lawsuit relating to a recent cyberattack that the company acknowledged last month might target Samsung.

The results claim that the Korean company’s over 3,000 clients whose personal information was stolen would have been impacted by the security lapse on Samsung’s network.

Recently, a complaint was submitted to the U.S. District Court in Nevada found that Samsung had violated the law by failing to promptly notify the public of the data leak.

Early this summer, personal information belonging to thousands of Samsung customers in the US was stolen.

This information includes contacts, names, dates of birth, demographics, and product registration information.

The cyberattack happened in June, but the Korean giant didn’t learn about it until August 4, when it finally acknowledged the issue.
