The Korean giant has released the latest security update for the Galaxy S20 device in the US. As of now, the Carrier unlocked variant of Galaxy S20 devices is receiving the December 2022 security update

It is also worth noticing that the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy S20 device hasn’t received the Android 13 update yet. While the carrier-locked variant already received the same update a few days ago.

The December 2022 security update doesn’t bring any feature; it is a regular monthly update which is provided by Samsung for its Galaxy devices.

According to the Samsung documentation, the latest patches include the fix to as many as 93 vulnerabilities, 67 of them common to (almost) all Android devices.

It is also worth noticing that the carrier-unlocked variant of the Galaxy S20 device hasn’t received the Android 13 update yet. While the carrier-locked variant already received the same update a few days ago.
