Plausible: One UI 5.0 or Android 12L Based 4.1.1 Tested On A Galaxy S22 Series Device
Recently, a screenshot was leaked on Samsung Community S.Korea displaying the model no. of the Galaxy S22 lineup possibly being upgraded to the latest One UI in development.
It was reportedly captured by a background hidden application CheckFirm. Bluesion develops this app in the tools category, which automatically checks for firmware and translates if any updates are available or unreleased updates are being tested on any device. It works because the app crosschecks the model no. and firmware available anywhere in the world being released or tested.
Through CheckFirm, people can check Samsung firmware descriptions on devices’ for official/test firmware information.
The spotted firmware had a build number – S908BXXU22BVF6 for a Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone (EUX CSC) having an Exynos CPU variant in Europe.
This screenshot could be testing Android 13-based One UI 5.0 or the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1.
Samsung has accepted Android L, and it is expected that the foldable Galaxy Z series will run the Android L, designed specifically for tablets by Google.
The clamshell design foldable Galaxy Z series is anticipated to launch later this year in AUG.
If we follow last year’s pattern, then One UI 5.0 or Android 12L version will be bundled along with Galaxy Z series smartphones.
If we see the description in the leaked screenshot, it mentions
Newly Found Test Firmware with build no. S908BXXU2BVF6/S908BOXM2BVF6/S908BXXU2BVF6 and date of discovery 2022/06/16.
While the Update Type is mentioned as One UI Update.
It is expected that users could get Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta for the Galaxy S22 series by the end of next month.
Not much time has left, and people should assume many developments to get unveiled this starting end of the next month.
