Samsung Galaxy Note 10 & Galaxy Note 10+ June Update: 4G Variants Telus Canada

Recently, Samsung has released a June update for the Galaxy Note 10 4G series, and users posted screenshots on the Samsung community. The update comes with a download size of 475.97 MB. Last we saw, this series got updated in the Europe region. Now, it’s for the carrier-locked Telus network in Canada.

The two models, following are their updated build no. –

• Galaxy Note10 (SM-N970W) –N970WVLU7HVE7

• Galaxy Note10+ (SM-N975W) –N975WVLU7HVE7

According to the Changelog: For both the devices.

• The Night portrait feature has been enhanced.
• The camera’s functions have been improved.
• The security of devices has been improved.
• The overall stability of the device has been improved.

Along with the camera features being upgraded, this firmware update brings the June 2022 security level patch consisting of Google’s and Samsung’s security and privacy issues fixes for all the devices mentioned above.

Security & Privacy Issue Fix Update: Galaxy Note 10 4G & Galaxy Note 10 Plus 4G-

This time, it’s just a security update that improves the overall stability of the devices. According to the changelogs & user-posted screenshots on the Samsung community, the update is for security and privacy issues fix but is not limited to it, and it can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements. It can also add more enhanced features and further improve performance.

On account of Samsung and Google’s report, its June 2022 security patch fixes dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security, such as SIM card data access, remote code execution, improper access controls, MAC address information, camera access, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Samsung account, etc. Also, improvements in native or stock apps, i.e., overall about 66 fixes.

Device manufacturer performs testing on new os or software, new software is provided to Telus, and it conducts internal testing of oS/software against their carrier network for compatibility, and when device manufacturers and carrier operator agree for new os/software for its stability then it’s submitted to the Canadian regulatory board and after meeting requirements of Canadian regulatory and fcc it’s then approved for a device manufacturer to release the update.

(TCI) is the wholly-owned principal subsidiary of Telus Corporation, a Canadian national telecommunications company that provides a wide range of telecommunications products and services, including internet access, voice, entertainment, healthcare, video, and IPTV television.

Although the Galaxy Note series was a premium segment from Samsung but its discontinued and will not see the latest OS & UI upgrade in upcoming years, as per Samsung’s 4-year software support policy.

The Galaxy Note 10 series was launched in late 2019, and the Galaxy Note series is discontinued now, as it’s merged with the spiritual successor Galaxy S22 Ultra having a stylus.
