Samsung Rolls Out First Beta Of One UI 5.0 For Galaxy S22/ S22+/ S22 Ultra
It’s time for the news that Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphone owners have been waiting for: the South Korean manufacturer recently began the beta cycle that will help optimise the upcoming One UI 5.0, which will bring Android 13, first to the top 2022 range and then on all the other devices in the home that will support it.
The initiative begins a few days after a Samsung update for its smartphone launchers, immediately before the introduction of the new software version and reports of potential roadmap delays in anticipation of the final release in a stable version.
The new One UI 5.0 beta is available via firmware S90xBXXU2ZHV4 (where the x varies by model, and will be a 1 for the Galaxy S22, a 6 for the Galaxy S22+, and an 8 for the Galaxy S22 Ultra), the release of which was launched, at least at this stage, in Germany but which could soon be extended to other markets.
The latest One UI 5.0 beta changes to the notification center, now with larger app icons and a more opaque background, changes to the pop-up menu for permissions to be granted to apps, made identical to that of Android 13 stock.
How to install the One UI 5.0 beta?

- First, you need to become a Beta Tester: to do this, just download the Samsung Members app from the Play Store or Galaxy Store, log in and choose the “Registration for One UI Beta Program” item.
- At this point, go to Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install and proceed with software installation.
