Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5.0 beta for the models of the Galaxy S22 series, and owners of the three devices that make up the series can already try the latest developments in Samsung’s operating system in some countries. That gives hope that Samsung could be faster than ever this year with the rollout of the next version of the Android OS. Moreover, the Galaxy S22 is not the only phone for which Samsung is already preparing for the upgrade.

One UI 5.0 For Galaxy S21, S20, A53, and A52s

According to recent report, the Android 13-based One UI 5 is already being developed by Samsung for the Galaxy S21, S20, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A52s. The firmware data on Samsung’s own servers is proof of this.

For a surprising number of phones, the South Koreans are simultaneously developing new software, including One UI 5. We include the Galaxy S21 Series and the Galaxy S20 series among others. Additionally, we can see that the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A52s are both receiving the One UI upgrade. Of course, we are aware that an upgrade will be applied to all of these devices. It is indeed unexpected that the development is already well underway at the start of August.

Availability

Although the new development’s early timing is remarkable, don’t hold your breath for the deployment to the aforementioned devices just yet. The public beta is only now available for the Galaxy S22 series. Therefore, in the fall, that device will be the first to get the upgrade. The other devices will come in the days and weeks that follow, possibly not until the beginning of 2023 but at the end of 2022.
