Samsung wants to roll out Android 13 by the end of 2022 to the mid-range Galaxy A53 5G smartphone, which was unveiled on March 17, 2022, with One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 on board and was promised four years of Android operating system updates (of which this would be the first).

Samsung Will Update Galaxy A53 5G To Android 13 (One UI 5.0) In 2022

Without going too far back in time, the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, which was released in August 2021, received Android 12 in January 2022 (for equality, the comparison should be made with the Galaxy A52 5G, which was released on March 17, 2021): if the South Korean manufacturer released the One UI 5.0 for the Galaxy A53 5G before the end of 2022, then, it would be comparable to the Galaxy A52s 5G.

However, it appears like this might be the only mid-range Galaxy smartphone to get Android 13 and the One UI 5.0 until 2023. It should also be remembered that it is just September; thus, plans for the release of firmware are still subject to last-minute adjustments.

We will revisit the subject if new information becomes available in the hopes that Samsung will be able to fulfil its responsibility and extend the list of its handsets that will receive the new One UI variant based on the most recent Android update.
