Galaxy S20 Series Now Enjoys September 2022 Security Patch In The US

A couple of weeks ago, Samsung Galaxy S20 series international models had received the September 2022 security patches, and now the same dish is serving for carrier-locked models in the United States.

Now the US carrier named Verizon has started rolling out Android September 2022 security patches for Galaxy S20 5G, Galaxy S20+ 5G, and Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. The firmwares available on G981VSQU3FVZI5, G986USQU3FVI5, and G988USQU3FVI5 respectively.

According to official documentation compiled by Samsung, the latest October 2022 security patches include fixes for as many as 32 vulnerabilities; 1 is labeled as critical, 29 have high priority, and 2 moderate.

How To Update

The update for Samsung Galaxy S20 Series is already on distribution in the United States via OTA starting with non-branded models (it could take a few more hours or days to wait for branded ones). All you need to do is install the update is go to the system settings through the ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’ path and follow the directions. If it fails, you can try again after a few hours.
