Samsung started rolling out the October security patch for its devices earlier this month. It is now available for two of Samsung’s most popular Fan Edition smartphones, the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 FE, in the United States on the Verizon network become available. 

The South Korean giant has started distributing the October 2022 Android Security Patch for the carrier-locked Galaxy S20 FE 5G and Galaxy S21 FE 5G in the US on the Verizon network. The firmwares available on G781VSQS7FVI1, and G990USQS4CVI3 respectively.

The Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE users suffering from this issue had to wait for hours for text messages to arrive. The changelog reads, “Resolved an intermittent issue where the device didn’t receive text messages.

” Along with this bug fix, the update also bumps the security patch to October 2022.

Along with the new patch, there is no new feature appearing in the changelog of Verizon, but the October 2022 security patches include fixes for as many as 32 vulnerabilities; 1 as critical, 29 have high priority, and 2 as moderate.

 All you need to do is install the update is go to the system settings through the ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’ path and follow the directions. If it fails, you can try again after a few hours.
