Samsung is the brand that already provides monthly security patches to its devices before Google. For example, the Galaxy S22 got the October security patch before the month started.

However, Samsung has already rolled out the October 2022 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 for the international variant. The update is now available in the United States.

Verizon is now serving the October 2022 Android Security Patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 users in the United States. According to the changelog, the update contains the October 2022 security patches, improves device privacy and security, and may even include some bug fixes and stability improvements.

Along with the October 2022 security patch, it fixed security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Some of those vulnerabilities allowed unauthorized users to access call information, the device’s serial number, configuration data, and secure memory content and allowed them to perform malicious actions.
