This year, the South Korean tech manufacturer ‘Samsung’ has shown its desperation, hard work, and seriousness about its update distribution program. Whether it is about the newer OS and UI or the monthly security patches, the company has worked at its highest potential to distribute these updates to max-to-max Galaxy devices at their earliest convenience. Even Google, the creator of Android, can’t match the distribution speed of Samsung.

Coming to the company’s newer skin, One UI 5, they announced it at the Samsung Developer conference on October 12th, 2022. It is led by the rollout of its first beta update, which the Galaxy S22 series got. The Galaxy S22 is the one that has got the stable One UI 5 update at first. From beta to stable update, the company has taken only approx; two months, which is impressive in comparison to previous years.

At first, the company landed the beta update of One UI 5 in only Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Z Flip 3/4, and Galaxy Z Fold 2/3/4 devices. The beta program was available only in seven regions- India, China, South Korea, Germany, the UK, the US, and Poland. Afterward, the company provided a stable update globally. At present, the One UI 5 is available not only in flagship devices but also in some mid-range phones.

If we talk about eligible devices, nearly every flagship device has the newer UI update now. Apart from those flagships, mid-range devices such as Galaxy A53 5G

, Galaxy A33 5G, and Galaxy A73 5G got this update only in limited regions. The company still needs to deliver a stable version of it in its foldable devices. Those foldable devices are running on the beta version currently, but the stable version will roll out in them with due the course of time that is mentioned in Samsung’s roadmap.

Samsung has published a region-wise schedule of the Android 13 (One UI 5) update availability in eligible devices. In the respective schedule, users can check when their device will get the One UI 5 update in their region. For information, currently, only Galaxy S22 series devices have got this update globally; Galaxy S21 series also got globally but not in the US, and other devices are in limited markets.

If we look at Samsung’s growth of the update distribution program so far this year, we will know that the company is providing updates speedily to its devices. Samsung has not only thought about the flagship users but also surprised the mid-range device users by providing the update too soon. The whole happening indicates that the company is very concerned with its update distribution programs, whether its flagships or mid-range phones.
