Verizon Galaxy Note 20 Users Can Download The Android 13 With One UI 5 In The US

In the US, Samsung has already released the One UI 5.0 stable update to various Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. Due to carrier-locked restrictions, only some users got the Android 13 update. Now Verizon has released the stable Update for Galaxy Note 20 series.

Users who own Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers N981USQU3GVK1 and N986USQU3GVK1, respectively. It is still using the October 2022 security patch. As the device is listed in the category of Samsung’s monthly security update list, it is confirmed that it will get the November 2022 security patch in the coming days.

At present, the One UI 5.0 update is available in the US; since it’s one of the major updates, the tech giant will be rolling it out in batches for its devices. While most Samsung smartphones have already received the Update in a few parts of the world, the Galaxy Note 20 series will receive the Update by the end of November.

As per the changelog, the new One UI 5 software update brings the most important new features that help optimize the smartphone’s performance. One UI 5-based on Android 13, reportedly flaunts expanded functionality, up to 16 different color palettes for your wallpaper, and lock screen customization.

It further comes with three new Settings menus: Connected devices, Modes and routines, and Security and privacy, which lets you manage all the related settings in one place. On the other hand, the new Lock screen customization options are next level; you can personalize every single element of the lock screen.

If you are a Galaxy Note 20 series device, users of the US Verizon carrier, can install the update by following the given steps. 

  • First, go to system settings, then
  • Click on the Software update menu 
  • Then click on the Download and Install button, it will start downloading and it gets installed automatically.
