Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is now receiving a new security patch in the form of a December 2022 update. The device has already received the support of Android 13 and the November 2022 security patch. Being a flagship Tablet is a little bit late to provide a new security update.

Notably, the device is receiving the new firmware update in several regions, including South Korea, Austria, and Switzerland. As you know, the device comes in two variants, Wi-Fi and LTE, and it’s a little bit surprising that Samsung released the December 2022 security for both of the variants of the device simultaneously.

The Galaxy Tab S7 is receiving the December 2022 security update in Austria and Switzerland. With a new firmware version number, T87XXXU2DVL3. In South Korea, it has a different firmware version number T875NKOU2FVL3. For your convenience, check the latest update by the last four numbers of the firmware version for each device variant for the respective country.

December 2022 Security Patch Fixed These Vulnerabilities:

According to the Samsung documentation, the latest patches include the fix to as many as 93 vulnerabilities, 67 of them common to (almost) all Android devices. Of the long list, 5 vulnerabilities are defined as critical, 63 high priority, and 12 moderate. Most of these vulnerabilities affect Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12, but some also touch the latest version of the robot. Among the latter, one concerns the RCS system, which would allow malicious actors to access the phone number of an incoming call. It also required action on the vulnerability that would allow access to the contents of the toast notifications of the Personal Area through the Nice Catch app (it is part of the Good Lock
