Galaxy S20 FE 5G and S21 FE updated to December 2022 update in Europe

Samsung is adding two more Galaxy devices to the December 2022 list, including Galaxy S20 FE 5G and Galaxy S21 FE, while the LTE variant of the Galaxy S20 FE already received the same update in several regions a few days ago.

As of now, there are three models of the FE lineup that are getting the December 2022 patch update named Galaxy S20 FE 5G, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S21 FE (2022). As per the information, these devices fall under the category of monthly updates, which means each device is eligible for grabbing one update each month but being the fan edition of the flagship device. Still, Samsung doesn’t treat them the way they should in the software update.

Galaxy S20 FE 5G

The device was launched back in 2020 and came with Android 10 on board, and recently the device has received a new OS update in the form of Android 13; with this update now, it is no longer eligible for any OS update in the future, but as now it is receiving December 2022 we hope that it will also get some more security update in future, users who own Galaxy S20 FE device can identify the latest update by its build number G781BXXS4GVL1.

Galaxy S21 FE

Galaxy S21 FE device is also receiving the December 2022 security update in Europe. As of now, the device has two models under the same name. The difference is only one that Samsung launched in the year 2022 with no other specific changes. Users who own these devices can identify the new update by its firmware version number G990BXXS2DVL1 and G990B2XXS1DVL1 for Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S21 FE(2022), respectively.
