However, it has recently received an update that may be even more important: the December 2022 security patch. This update is significant for owners of carrier-unlocked units of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, as it further protects their device from potential vulnerabilities and threats.

US Unlocked Galaxy S20 FE 5G updated to December 2022 patch

The carrier-unlocked units of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the United States are receiving the December 2022 security patch update on firmware version G781U1UES9EVL1 and the Android version remains 12. The update is being rolled out as an over-the-air (OTA) update and will reach all eligible devices in a phased manner.

According to the Samsung documentation, the latest patches include the fix to as many as 93 vulnerabilities, 67 of them common to (almost) all Android devices. Of the long list, 5 vulnerabilities are defined as critical, 63 high priority, and 12 as moderate.

To do this, simply go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. If an update is available, simply follow the prompts to download and install it. Once the update is installed, your phone will be running the latest security patches from Samsung.

    Did they happen to mention when we would get Android 13 or One UI 5.0?
