10 New features of One UI 5.1 coming to your Galaxy smartphones

Samsung is all set to be ready for the launch of One UI 5.1 with Galaxy S23, the device will make its first appearance on 1st Feb at the Galaxy Unpacked event, and the company will unveil some other products along with Galaxy S23. But ahead of the launch event, the One UI 5.1 features are leaked.

10 New Features Are Coming To One UI 5.1

Camera

 In the camera section, there are some new features have been introduced, as you can easily change the colour tone of your selfies with the effects button on the side of the screen, as well as the Expert raw is now easily accessible through the Advanced menu.

Gallery

In the Gallery app, there are some specific changes have been applied, like a new shared Family Album; with the help of this feature, you can easily share your photos with your family. It will recommend photos to add to your shared family album by recognizing the faces of your family. When you swipe up while viewing an image or video in your gallery, you can see at a glance; now, you can choose the location to save your screen recordings and screenshots in your desired folder.

AR Zone and AR Emoji

The brushes are now available on the main screen of AR Doodle for faster access. You can resize and move drawings even after they have been created, and the new eraser tool lets you erase only part of your drawing without deleting them entirely.

Widgets

There are some improvements have been made to the widget, like a new battery widget has been introduced, which lets you check the battery level of your Galaxy device. Right on the home screen, you can see how much battery is left on your smartphone, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy watch and other supported devices; there is a new illustration style has also been added under the weather widget, which makes it easy to know the weather information, whether it’s sunny, cloudy, raining or snowing.

Modes and Scenarios

You can set different wallpapers on the lock screen and home screen depending on your current activities; there are new changes, like now it can automatically run scripts when you turn on Airplane mode or Mobile Hotspot. Scripts can now open a couple of apps, adjust left/right audio balance and more.

Connectivity

With the help of Samsung notes now, you can create a shared note that multiple people can edit at the same time; now you can easily invite people to share albums using a link that can be shared through apps like messaging social networks, with the latest one UI 5.1, you can now use your Galaxy Book’s mouse, keyboard, or trackpad not only with your Galaxy tablet but with your Galaxy smartphone. You can use Bixby text calls to automatically answer calls and find out the purpose of the call. You will see what the caller is saying in text chat, and you can tap or type the answers to be read aloud to the caller.
