Galaxy Note 10 gets January 2023 update in Germany

The Galaxy Note 10 was one of the devices which have received the January 2023 security update in the very starting days of January. The device initially grabbed the update in Switzerland, but now, with a long gap, the Korean giant is rolling out the latest security update for Germany. It is also worth noticing that the 5G variant also received the same update a few days ago.

Notably, the January 2023 update is currently rolling out in Germany as the Note 10 series has two models which are grabbing new security updates with different version numbers, N970FXXS8HWA3 and N975FXXS8HWA3 for Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. The latest update is based on Android 12. Now, both of the devices are no longer eligible for further Android updates. While its Lite version is taking advantage of the late release running on Android 13, and it also received the January 2023 update.

January 2023 update brings bug fixes and improvements

The January 2023 update is a general security maintenance update that doesn’t bring any new features, but it brings some new patches that address several security vulnerabilities. According to official documentation, the update includes 50+ patches and 20 patches, which resolves some security loopholes so that your private information doesn’t leak anywhere.

Moreover, the update comes with some general improvements that enhance the overall performance and stability of the device, so you should install the update on your device as soon as possible to experience a smooth interaction on your device. 

How to update 

You should get a notification regarding the new update, and just tapping on it; you can easily install it on your device, but in any case, if you didn’t get notified about the update so you can also check the update manually by following the below steps:

• Go to the device settings
• Then click on the software updates button
• Now tap on download and install 
• wait until the search is finished,
• If it shows the security update is available, tap on the install button, 
• It will start downloading and get installed automatically.
