Why does my Samsung Galaxy device get every security update very late

Security updates are the most common type of update that is provided by google to every device which is running on the Android operating system. It is the work of maintenance of devices to fix severe security vulnerabilities; these updates are available by Google every month that targets the Android operating system and resolves the issues which can be dangerous for our privacy. Sometimes, the Big G provides additional features that enhance the system’s performance.

In the case of Samsung, the security updates are quite different. However, it is also provided by Google and has similar patches that are available in every other Android device, but the difference is that Samsung has also added some extra patches for its Galaxy devices so it can fix the issues that are only coming in Samsung devices

As Samsung has a large number of smart devices, the company takes a long time to provide updates to every available device; it is also noticeable that Samsung always releases the new update to one of the Beta participant countries, which includes China, Germany, India, Poland, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. And then expand the update to other nearby countries.

To manage the updates for every Galaxy device, Samsung has devices into three categories as Monthly security updates- which include the devices which are eligible for at least 12 security updates per year; quarterly security updates- which include the devices which are eligible to receive for four security updates per year, and the Binnual security update which means the devices listed under this category are eligible for only two security update annually. To know more about the eligibility of the particular device, you can go to the official Samsung documentation.
