Samsung rolls out the January 2023 security patch for Galaxy Note 20 in Australia

Samsung is doing great work in the field of software; the company has currently reached its year’s second security update of the year, and several devices have already received the February 2023 security patch update. However, the company is a little bit struggling with the January 2023 security update as there is a lot of devices remaining which haven’t received the update yet, and to complete the list of the device in the January update, the Galaxy Note 20 is now getting the year’s first update in Australia.

However, the Galaxy Note 20 was the first device that got the February 2023 security update. But as we said earlier, due to the completion(January 2023 update) of region-wise expanding the update, the Korean giant has expanded the one-month older update for the Australian variant of Galaxy Note 20. Users can easily identify the new update by the firmware version number N981BXXS5GWAA and N986BXXS5GWAA for the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, respectively.

January 2023 security update brings new improvements and fixes.

The January 2023 update is part of the monthly security update program which Google runs to make Android devices more secure and stable against external threats. Moreover, the update includes several patches that are included by Google as well as Samsung for Galaxy devices.
