Galaxy Tab S7 FE gets new firmware before One UI 5.1

Samsung has recently updated several tablets with One UI 5.1, including Galaxy Tab S8 series and Tab S7 series devices in different regions, but the FE model of Galaxy S7 doesn’t get it yet. But now the company is now bringing a new update in the form of a security update, which means users have to wait for more.

Notably, the latest update brings a new security update in the form of a February 2023 Android security patch; the update is currently rolling out in the European region and could be expanded to all other countries in the next few days.

The February comes with a new firmware version number T733XXU2CWB1. It will be available in a small software package of 263.08 MB, the update is available through OTA, so users of Galaxy Tab S7 FE should get a notification regarding the update, but if there is any delay in receiving the notification, you can manually check it from the device settings.

The February 2023 update includes several patches that fix a number of vulnerabilities that were reported in previous updates; in detail, there are 48 patches included by Google and 7 patches added by Samsung which fix the issues of Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE was introduced in 2021 and came with Android 11, later the device got two more Android updates in the form of Android 12 and Android 13, now users are eagerly waiting for the One UI 5.1 update which will also receive soon, it is possible that this will be the last major update for the device but it will continue to get new security updates in the future for at least one more year.
