Galaxy Tab S6 gets March 2023 security patch in Europe

Tthe Galaxy Tab S6 is receiving a new security patch update in the form of March 2023. Currently, the update is rolling out in Europe; it is spotted in Germany and will soon be expanded to other countries. 

The Galaxy Tab S6 users can identify the March 2023 security update by its firmware version number T865XXU5DWC3W (LTE variant). The Wifi variant of the same device is getting the update with version number T860XXU4DWC4. It is worth noticing that the device is listed in the biannual security update category, which indicates that the device only gets two security updates per year. 

The March 2023 security patch contains several new fixes that enhance the overall security of the device; meanwhile, the update also brings some new improvements for the existing functions so the device will get refreshed and users get a more smooth experience. According to the official documentation of Samsung, it mentioned that there are over 60 different patches that come with the update. 40 of those were included by Google

, which improves the Android OS ecosystem, and the other 23 patches were included by Samsung to fix the issues which are present in the Galaxy devices.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S6 back in 2019; the device came with Android 9.0. Later, it received three more Android updates under One UI 2.0, One UI 3.0, and One UI 4.0 sequentially; now, it is no longer eligible for further Android updates; however, the device will still get some security updates in the future.
