As we have entered the fourth month of the year, Samsung is now ready to push new security updates for its Galaxy devices; earlier, the Korean giant updated its latest flagship device, i.e., the Galaxy S23 device, with April 2023 security update, now expanding the same security update the company has chosen the Galaxy Z Fold 4 as a second device for the new update.

However, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is not receiving any extra improvements like Galaxy S23. For starters, the Latest S series flagship device grabbed some more fixes related to the camera, which enhanced the camera features and its performance.

The April 2023 security patch is now available in the US. According to the information, it has resolved over 50 security vulnerability fixes. The unlocked variants of Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are receiving it. Users who own the device can identify the latest update by its firmware version numbers F936U1UES2CWC9 and F721U1UES2CWC9. This is the first foldable device that has received the new security update. It is currently available unlocked units of Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, US Cellular, Cricket Wireless, and Spectrum Mobile.

If you belong to the US and haven’t received the update on your device yet, you should have to wait for some time because the update is now released for the unlocked variant, but it still depends on carriers; it is expected that it will be available in all over the US in the next few days.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 were launched last year; they came with Android 12L. Later, it received Android 13, and then recently, it has also received the latest One UI 5.1, which is based on the same Android. As both devices belong to the flagship category, both will get three more Android updates and five-year security updates. This year Samsung will also introduce its new foldable devices, such as Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
