Samsung rolls out May 2023 security update for Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung has started rolling out a new firmware update for its latest flagship device, including Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The update includes the latest security update in the form of a May 2023 security update.

The latest update is expanding in some European countries for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra with different version numbers S911BXXS1AWD1, S916BXXS1AWD1, and S918BXXS1AWD1 respectively. The update is expected to be available to other markets in the next few days.

According to the official documentation of Samsung, the May 2023 update fixes over 70 security flaws of the device; from those Google has included 50+ patches that resolve the issues related to Android OS, and Samsung has added 21 more enhancements that strengthen the security of Galaxy devices.

According to some rumors, it is expected that Samsung will introduce some improvements which will enhance the overall security of the device, but after observing the size of the new software is not sure that it will include any improvements for the camera; however, the official changelog mentions improvements and bug fixes, but there is no specific name of any function described.

The latest update is now live for Galaxy S23 devices in Europe. So whenever the update is available for your device, you will get a notification regarding it. By tapping on it, you will be redirected to the software download menu, now you just have to tap on the Download Now button to install it.
