With WearOS 3, many third-party applications are making their way to the Galaxy Watches, as third-party developers are a big part of this version of smartwatch OS. Recently, the popular messenger WhatsApp has started its application’s beta testing in the WearOS-booted Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 devices. It is obvious that the messenger will bring its noteworthy features to its WearOS app. Let’s know what to expect from it.

Informatively, the WhatsApp application starts with a simple list of recent contacts with “Settings” on the Galaxy Watch. In the Galaxy Watches, Whatsapp will work quite similarly as it does in smartphones. For example, if you open up a conversation, you can see the past messages here. Not only can you see, but the app will also let you reply by recording a voice note or by opening the keyboard.

Besides, if we talk about group chats, you will see “People in this conversation” and “Open on the phone” options if we scroll to the end. It also shows a circular complication on the Watch’s screen to show how many unread messages you have. It will show you a total of two tiles- “WhatsApp contacts” and “WhatsApp voice message.” The first one is to open a particular chat, and the second one is to start recording a voice note.

How to download & install WhatsApp beta on Galaxy Watch

  • If you also want to sign up for Whatsapp beta, you can do it by tapping here.
  • However, remember one thing, to participate in this beta program, you should have your Android phone and Galaxy Watch running on version 2.23.10.10+.
  • To set Whatsapp Beta up on your Galaxy Watch, it will ask you to enter an eight-digit code from your Watch on the phone app.
  • It seems that the stable version will be even more surprising when it comes.
