Every Android version brings notable surprises and plenty of improvements with it. At present, rumors and news regarding the upcoming Android 14 are being spread all around the internet. However, Android 14’s launch is currently awaited; still, the internet already started to fill with the next Android 15’s rumors. Recently, we found a report that says Android 15 will bring NFC updates to Galaxy devices. Let’s know more about it.

Let us inform you in 2019, the Mountain View giant Google announced Project Mainline for Android. If you don’t know, this program separates key components of Android from the OS. It basically helps the manufacturer to roll out updates directly through Play Store, which means users no longer need to wait for their manufacturer to include any key component (OS) update in the next OTA system update. They will get it sooner.

As per the well-known tipster Mishaal Rahman, after Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and USB stacks, Google is now intending to turn Android’s NFC stack into a modular system component. If that happens, Google will be able to fix any issue that appears on NFC directly by rolling out a bug-fix update through the Google Play Store. The tipster shared that this change isn’t expected to appear in the upcoming Android 14; instead, it can be seen in Android 15.

As for Galaxy device users, it is obvious that this modification will reach their Galaxy devices with the future One UI 7.0 software which will get the base of Google’s next Android version- Android 15. The Android 15-based One UI 7.0 is expected to arrive in the third quarter of the next year, 2024. For more information, we should wait till its launch.
