The South Korean firm Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series devices can be known as the cleverest smartwatches of the whole Galaxy Watch family. It won’t be wrong to say that these Galaxy Watches have been named the best due to their intelligent sensors, such as BioActive sensors. Besides it, some other simpler sensors like “gyroscope” are also available in them. Let’s know more about them.

Informatively, if you are unaware, gyroscope sensors came to be found in some smartphones as well. This sensor is able to detect the Galaxy Watch’s movements through inertia. In addition to this sensor, the company came up with some incredible gestures, including the infamous Quick Launch gesture. Today, we will know all about this Quick Launch gesture that uses a gyroscope sensor to perform actions.

What is Quick Launch, and How to enable it?

Let us tell you, Quick Launch is a gesture that lets the Galaxy Watch perform operations such as launching an application, turning on the flashlight, or opening the workout type list. This gesture does any of these when the wearer makes a fist and bends their wrist down two times in a flicking motion. Once you get to that part of the setup, the correct animation will be displayed on your watch. Now, let’s know how to enable it.

  • First, unlock your Galaxy Watch (Watch 4 or Watch 5).
  • Go to the “Settings”.
  • Then choose “Advanced Features” and scroll down.
  • Then tap “Quick Launch”.
  • Afterward, turn the toggle “On” and enable this gesture.
  • Then, tap “Select an option” and choose the desired action between those available.

Nota bene, besides the Quick Launch gesture, the “Advanced features” option also lets users enable some wrist gestures for answering calls or dismissing notifications.

What if the Quick Gesture option doesn’t work?

Firstly, let us make it clear, Quick Launch wrist gesture requires two conditions:

  • The first condition is the display has to be turned on. It is to prevent the Quick Launch wrist gesture to work when you accidentally flick your wrist.
  • The second condition is you should perform the Quick Launch gesture within 5 seconds of turning on your Galaxy Watch’s display. If you get late than 5 seconds to perform this gesture, your Galaxy Watch will ignore it.

If this Quick Launch wrist gesture isn’t working on your Galaxy Watch, you may be lacking somewhere. We are suggesting you kindly keep both of these terms in your mind and then perform the gesture, it will surely work out.
