Earlier, Samsung rolled out the May 2023 security patch for the flagship Galaxy Tab series, including Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S7. Now the Fan Edition device is also getting the update. Being a fan edition Tab of Galaxy Tab S7, the company has ignored this device a lot of time and has served the new update lately.

Currently, the latest update is rolling out for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE in some European countries and Brazil. The European Galaxy Tab S7 FE units are receiving the update with the firmware version number T733XXS3CWD1. While in Brazil, the device is getting the update with a different version number T735XXU3CWE1.

Meanwhile, The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has also been getting the update in Europe. The original Galaxy S6 Lite and refreshed model of Galaxy S6 Lite(2022) are both getting May 2023 security updates with version numbers P615XXS5FWD2 and P619XXS3BWE3, respectively.

The latest update includes the May 2023 security patch; as usual, the update doesn’t bring any innovations for the device. However, being a security update, it comes with some bug fixes that aim to strengthen the security of the device. Apart from these, the update also includes some extra improvements which can enhance the performance and stability of your device.

The Galaxy Tab S7 FE offers several high-end features at low cost so more users can experience it. While the Lite version of Galaxy Tab S6 also works the same, it is designed to give a smooth experience on a low budget. Both the devices lack some features which are available in the main series, but most of the time, it’s not that important, so if you buy any Lite version of any device, you can still get a smooth performance.
