A few days ago, Samsung released the May 2023 security update for the unlocked variant of the Galaxy S20 FE 5G on several carriers, and as we expected, the update could be available for the locked variant as you guessed, now the update is available for the locked variant as well.

The May 2023 security update for the Galaxy S20 FE is now getting a new update with version number G781USQSAHWD4. The update is now available on several carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, MetroPCS, US Cellular, Cricket, and Dish Wireless. As per the previous updates, the device has already got the One UI 5.1 update which is its last major update; after this, it will only be eligible to get a minor update which only brings security enhancements to the device.

The latest update doesn’t bring any new features or changes for the device, but it includes some improvements for the Galaxy devices. As per the official documentation of Samsung, the May 2023 security patch includes over 70 fixes which Google and Samsung added; in detail, Google has introduced 51 fixes that target the Android OS system, and the other patches were included by Samsung which fixes the security bugs of the Galaxy devices.
